Urban Design explores both the built environment and everything in between, ranging from public parks to entire cities and the ways in which people interact with these elements. Making these connections between people and places shapes how we feel and respond to our cities. Urban Design is a multi-disciplinary profession, involving but not limited to Architects, Planners, Urban Designers and Graphic Designers collaborating to form our neighbourhoods, towns and cities. Urban Design places emphasis on community engagement and encourages the creation of people-friendly places. In this current climate urban designers are particularly focusing on sustainability, urban regeneration and the ways in which we can design spaces which not only plan for future generations but also lower our current use of valuable limited resources.
